Terms & Conditions
We try to define our Friends' needs and offer services that will help share our passion for quilting. The goal of our 90-Day Layaway Program is to offer our Friends a more manageable way to purchase Quilt Kits without over-extending their budget.
Eligible Purchases are limited to any full-priced Quilt Kit* with a retail price of $100 or more, before any shipping, handling, or taxes are included. If required separately, the Book/Pattern and Backing Fabric Option needed to complete the quilt may be added to the purchase.
*Layaway is limited to include only our Quilt Kits at this time and excludes all Value Center kits and Stitchin' Heaven Travel Sail 'n Sew Kits.
A Down Payment of 25%* must be received for a Layaway Account to be set up and any items reserved. Once the Layaway is established, a payment of at least 25% is required no less than once every 30 days and must be paid in full within 90 days.
All items will be held in the store until the balance is paid in full. At that time, items may be picked up in the store and online orders will be shipped within 2 business days.
*The Down Payment will be based on 25% of the total sale amount including any applicable sales taxes and S&H costs.
Making a Layaway Purchase: Once you have fulfilled the Eligible Purchase requirement, with a Quilt Kit and any Book/Pattern and Backing needed, just add the LAYAWAY PURCHASE item to your cart and use the drop down menu to choose "Down Payment". Continue on to Check Out, entering your billing information and payment method.
Please Note: Your cart will show a total dollar amount, but we will not bill you that amount. Upon receiving your order with payment, we will set up your Layaway Account. Once set up, we will process your payment for 25% of the total sale (including any applicable taxes and S&H). Then, an email will be sent to you with the amount billed and the details of your Layaway Payments.
Making a Layaway Payment: Once your Layaway has been successfully set up, you will receive an email with the details of your Layaway Payments. A payment of at least 25% is required no less than once monthly and must be paid in full within 90 days.
To make your payment, simply add LAYAWAY PURCHASE to your cart and use the drop down box to choose "Layaway Payment" and proceed to the Check Out choosing your payment method and billing information. Unless otherwise instructed by you in the Comments Section, you will be billed for 25% of the total amount of the original Layaway Purchase, as noted in your initial email.
If you are sending in a check, please note "Layaway Deposit" or "Layaway Payment" so that we know how to apply your payment.
Upon receipt of the final payment, items will be shipped out within 2 business days.
Abandoned Layaways: Payment dates will be established upon setting up the Layaway Account with 3 payments due over the following 90 days (One payment due every 30 days). If a payment is missed during the course of the layaway, without any correspondence, a Stitchin' Heaven employee will contact you ONCE via email (or phone for in-store customers). After 45 days of inactivity, Stitchin' Heaven reserves the right to cancel any layaway and return the items to stock. A fee of $25 will be assessed on all abandoned layaways and reserved from any payments made. Any remaining balance will be returned to the customer in the form of a store credit with no cash value.
Cancellation: If you wish to cancel a layaway, please notify us as soon as possible. At the time of cancellation, a fee of $25 will be assessed and reserved from any payments made. Any remaining balance will be returned to the customer in the form of a store credit with no cash value.
Discounts or sales may NOT be applied to any items placed on Layaway. If, at the time of final payment, the item (s) is on sale or discounted, Stitchin' Heaven will adjust the sale price but will not issue any refunds for differences. The amount will be applied toward the final payment.
